What began in Central Asia would reach the coast of Messina, with the death fleet, and would quickly spread into major Eurasian nations in the span of 7 years. As people scrambled to find a cause and a defense against the plague, it would continue to wreak havoc across much of the East.

Spain

Suffered Intense mortality rates. Up to 75% of the population in some regions. Also impacted by the second plague pandemic. (1647-1652)

Experienced substantial losses, 60% of the population died. Led to mass graves, societal disruption, and the persecution of Jewish communities.

norway

Lost around 60% of its population. Created massive economic and social consequences that took them centuries to recover from.

india

Experienced catastrophic losses during the 19th-century pandemic that originated in China and would last for decades.

England

Lost 70% of its population. Some villages experienced 80-90% population losses. The last major plague in 1665-1666 would kill a quarter of their population.

China

The origin of the outbreak (1331-1368), China was destroyed by the plague, and the profound losses would trigger the fall of the Yuan Dynasty.

italy

Extremely high mortality rates. Up to 75% of the population was lost, primarily in major cities like Florence, Milan, and Venice.

France

Massive population losses, especially in cities like Paris, with half of their population dying. Decimated their social structures in its initial wave. (1347-1352)
